A knitted hat is held down by a heavy stone on Shelling Hill beach (Co. Louth), where the body of Jean McConville (WP) was found in 2003, thirty-one years after she was killed by the IRA. The case has been in the news recently as Ivor Bell has been charged with aiding and abetting the murder (BelTel).
