Stop Tory Cuts

The (UK) Conservative Party has proposed a series of cuts, including a freeze of child benefit, income support, tax credits, dole, and housing benefit. These are opposed by various parties and advocacy groups in both Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The mural above is on the Divis Street international wall, while Black Mountain/Slıabh Dubh currently carries the same message: . Protest rallies were held today (2014-10-11) in both Belfast and Dublin.

Actually I think these cuts would be a great thing for us in the Nationalist/Republican community, and should be applauded. All those who wish to devolve and build a ‘united’ Ireland outside of the UK should, from this moment forward embrace wholeheartedly any ‘Tory’ (actually Tory/Lib Dem.) cuts to welfare. Because in effect what any such ‘cuts’ do is to weaken the North’s addiction to the breast-milk of Westminster. And thereby helping us to become strong and independent nation, which is what we have been fighting for, and continue to fight for.

Furthermore, I suggest that in order to show utter contempt and disregard for the Union, we Nationalists should immediately sign off the brew and return en mass, all the UK money that we have been forced to take over the years. And in addition, whilst we are on the proud road to independence, I say give back your UK passport, change your name back (from the Anglicised) take your children out of (UK) State-funded schools, stoop speaking the tongue of the devil (English), change your postcode, your phone number, your vehicle registration, and stop using all postage stamps or coins with the Sovereign’s head on them. Then, and only then will we be able to build a true united Ireland, that is proud, strong and independent.
