There is a campaign under way to repatriate south Armagh man Michael Campbell from Lithuania on humanitarian grounds (Newry Times). Campbell was given 12 years in 2012 for attempting to purchase weapons (An Phoblacht).
The “Tıocfaidh Ár Lá 32” is out on Camlough Road at the Cloughreagh estate.

Brian Shivers, who was convicted in 2012 (Indo) of the 2009 Masserene Barracks shooting (WP) has had his conviction quashed at a retrial (Irish Times). The “RIP you bastard” is unclear – it might refer to the fact that he suffers from cystic fibrosis or that, now free, he is a marked man.

As a member of the IRA, Price was jailed for the Old Bailey bombing in 1973, and her post-Agreement license was revoked in May, 2011, when she was charged, as a member of the Real IRA, in connection with the Massereene Barracks shooting of 2009 – she was sent to Maghaberry. Real IRA member Alan Ryan was killed in north Dublin on September 3rd and graffiti has appeared mourning his death, supposedly at the hands of “drug dealing scum”. For background, see Irish Times | An Sıonnach Fıonn.
