Scaırt Amach (“Shout Out”) is a magazine containing articles by republican prisoners in Portlaoise, Maghaberry, and Hydebank prisons. The cover is reproduced in the mural above on the International Wall.

Replaces the black-and-white ‘End Internment’ mural and between Where Is The World? and The Sagart.

Er, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, folks, but the struggle is over, haven’t you heard. Does the 10th of April 1998 ring a bell? I mean c’mon people, I know Northern Ireland is a Province in the UK, and the people here are provincial and well behind the rest of the UK/world in oh, so many things, but pleeese, the notion of there actually being any Republicans left, and any languishing in jails in enough numbers to warrant special attention or focus is sadly hysterical, and would be even more so if it weren’t sincere. I mean get with the program folks, you lost, they won, you’re still part of the UK and Eire doesn’t want you. neither does the mainstream Sinn Fein, because that reminds them of the recent past when they actually had a conscious and a social agenda.

And whilst I am at it, can I just ask you not to call the C/R/N wall off/along Falls Rd. as an ‘International’ wall, because as Jerry’s recent muralization fiasco will attest to, a genuine international wall, it ‘aint. It’s no more than a Republican wall on which you feature causes and individuals you want to align with to give your cause some credibility, pathetic.
